On the 28th of February 2010 a fire was started in our town, Wongan Hills, on the corner of the turn off to our local airstrip. I was so thankful to have my camera with me when it happened, I managed to capture shots from start to finish. The pictures above were taken from my back verandah, shorty after the fire had started. After an hour of watching flames and smoke fly over our house, they managed to put the majority of it out. Dad and I went to the scene, where there were many fire people and neighbours all going to have a look at the damage. I got some awesome shots. As we were leaving, a tree behind us caught a light and I was close enough to get some scary photos!
